Who here can tell me what it means?!
Like "Louie Louie," it has been a song near and dear to the hearts of millions. Play it in a bar and everyone comes in with gusto on the very few lines or words that they know and sit somewhere between a spell-bound state and waiting for the next opportunity to belt out what they know they know.
Four hundred years from now people will be singing Whiter Shade of Pale at the top of their lungs and having even less understanding of what people like me don't understand right now, even though I've heard the song 500 times.
Let's call it timeless art.
